Bamboo's

Evergreen and woody stemmed with delicately handsome foliage and architectural outlines, bamboos make ideal specimen plants. A few specimens flower regularly, but most do not bloom for many years. Bamboos need ample space since they grow up to 4m(12ft) tall with an arching spread of 6m(20ft), and they often spread quickly. Bamboos grow strongly in most soils once established, and they form excellent screens, hedges or windbreaks in milder, windswept zones.
